On Monday 17th May, Blue Planet Aquarium will be re-opening its doors to welcome visitors once again.
Following a tumultuous start to 2021, with extended closures due to the coronavirus pandemic. The attraction will be re-opening with lots of changes and new additions to its offering!
Visitors and members of Blue Planet Aquarium can expect to see the following changes:
A brand new exhibit – Nature Walk!
Visitors are invited to take a stroll among the local fauna and flora surrounding Blue Planet Aquarium. Our pond provides a wonderful natural habitat for many different native species to flourish.
Two new species of Shark!
Black Tip Reef Sharks and Short-Tailed Nurse Sharks join the largest collection of sharks in the UK. Visitors can see them up close from our 71metre underwater tunnel or the impressive floor to ceiling display. Visitors will, without a doubt, enjoy the magnificent tank that’s now teeming with sharks and other tropical species.
General Manager, Odin Morris explained: “The team are so excited to re-open and welcome visitors back to Blue Planet Aquarium. They have been working so hard behind the scenes. It’ll be a very proud moment to see people enjoying the attraction and all its new additions!”
Blue Planet Aquarium is open daily 10 am-5 pm (the last entry is 4 pm). We have full Covid-19 safety measures in place.
