What are your opening hours?
We are open every day except Christmas day.
Our opening hours are 10am-5pm daily. Last admission 4pm
How long does it take to go around the aquarium?
Anywhere between 2-3 hours depending on your interest in marine life. We have shows and feeds throughout the day for your to attend, our diver presentation is roughly 25 minutes long. We also have a gift shop, restaurant and outdoor play area.
What do animals do you have?
We have Europe’s largest collection of Sharks, along with hundreds of species of fish from around the world. We also have reptiles, lizards, snakes, caiman crocodiles, frogs as well as Dalmatian Pelicans who can be found outdoors.
How much is it to get in?
Do carers get in for free?
Yes, carers are admitted for free on a 1:1 basis as long as they can provide proof of carer status.
Do you have to pay for children under 3 years?
Children under 90cm in height are admitted into Blue Planet Aquarium free. Please note: Age is not used as the criteria for Infant complimentary admission.
Do you have a restaurant?
Yes we have a large onsite restaurant area with seating that provides hot and cold food. There are also facilities for heating baby food and milk.
Can we eat our own food in the aquarium?
Yes, we only ask that you do not eat your own food in the restaurant. We have an outdoor picnic area you can eat at or there are various seating areas around Blue Planet Aquarium away from the restaurant.
Do I have to print off my e-ticket?
Simply show your confirmation email via your smart phone on arrival to the aquarium, or you can also write down your confirmation number and bring this along with you.
I’m trying to book online and am unsure if the transaction has worked.
If your transaction has been successful you will be sent a confirmation email. Simply show the confirmation email on your smart phone and bring this along with you.
If you have not received a confirmation email it is unlikely your transaction has been successful. A reserve may be placed on funds by your bank during this process, but no funds have actually been taken from the account. This is a security anti-fraud feature which occurs when certain information has been input incorrectly.
Do I need to pay for car parking at the aquarium?
Yes, please be aware that a charge of £2.75 applies to Blue Planet Aquarium visitors, regardless of length of stay. Your car park tickets also allows you a complimentary drink in our restaurant with any purchase.
